Sébastien Braillon

Sébastien Braillon (Illfurth) (*1975) was an apprentice at the Bernard Aubertin organ factory (Courtefontaine, Jura) and more particularly with Michel Gaillard with whom he learned the trade, both in restoration and voicing. He created his company in 2009 and his activities include the restoration and maintenance of more than a hundred instruments of different styles and tractions (mechanical, pneumatic or electrical). In Paris, he restored and revoiced the organ of the Chapelle du couvent des Dominicains (2019-2020) and carried out the restoration of the great organ of the church of St Nicolas-du-Chardonnet (2025).

Hubert Brayé

Hubert Brayé (*1965) learend his skliis at the firm of Guérrier. He created his firm in 2000. His activities comprise restoration and/or (re)construction of instruments of different styles and traction (mechanical or pneumatical). He worked at the organ of Notre-Dame-de-la-Croix (2010).

Johan Deblieck

Johan Deblieck studied at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels; in 1987 he gained his final diploma for organ at the State Music Academy in Anderlecht, where he studied with Robert Kohnen. After an apprenticeship with the organ builder Patrick Collon, with whom he worked for ten years and built his own first instrument, Johan Deblieck established his own company in 1993. Since then some hundred fifty instruments have been built in his workshop in Anderlecht (a suburb of Brussels), including church organs, house and study organs, and in particular the box organs that brought him international recognition. Orgelbau Klais

Orgelbau Klais is a family business that started in 1882 when Johannes Klais senior set up his own workshop in Bonn, Germany. Today, the company is still run by the family, now led by Philipp Klais, the founder's great-grandson and fourth-generation manager. Johannes Klais was a talented organ builder who learned his craft in Alsace, Switzerland, and Southern Germany. His work was built on traditional techniques, especially slider windchests, but he wasn't stuck in the past. Even before 1900, he was experimenting with new ideas, like high- pressure stops with dual mouths on pneumatic cone valve chests. In 1906, he and his son Hans introduced electric action to organ building. In 1965, Hans Gerd Klais (the founder's grandson, 1930-2026) became the third- generation leader, and later Philipp Klais took over as the fourth generation. Under Philipp's leadership, Klais has become one of the top organ builders worldwide, with projects in major churches and concert halls. Victor Mangeol started playing on his grandmother's piano at the age of 6. At the age of 12, he wanted to become an organ builder and began his training for this profession at the age of 15. The Manufacture d'orgues Robert Frères , in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, in Loire-Atlantique (near Nantes), was founded in 2000 by the brothers Olivier Robert and Stéphane Robert. They were often simply called « les frères Robert ». They learned their trade at Renaud in Nantes. Olivier Robert, the harmonist of the company, died in 2021. This company provides artistic advice, respects historical characteristics, and delivers the production quality expected by clients, both in terms of construction, restoration, lifting and harmonization, as well as maintenance and tuning of these instruments. Thomas

La Manufacture d’orgues Thomas is a family-owned Belgian organ building company founded in 1965 by André Thomas in Ster-Francorchamps, now continued by his sons Dominique and Samuel. After the original SPRL went bankrupt in November 2020, the business was transformed in 2023 into Manufacture d’orgues Thomas SARL, based in Clervaux, Luxembourg. The workshop employs 11 specialists—organ builders, cabinetmakers, metalworkers, pipe makers, and harmonists—who build new pipe organs and restore historical instruments while respecting ancient techniques. They cover all stages of organ work: design, construction, restoration, repair, maintenance, plus storage and caretaking of keyboard instruments. The manufacturer has delivered around 130 new instruments and 40 restorations of 18th–19th century organs, with recent projects in Belgium, Luxembourg, France, and Japan. They are currently working on the organ of the American Cathedral (together with Klais).

Nicolas Toussaint

Founded in 1987 by Nicolas Toussaint, the Manufacture Bretonnes d’orgues carries out organ restorations, provides maintenance and tuning of organs across France, and builds new organ pipes for professionals.
