Chrétien Steinmetz

Jules Isambart

Jules Isambart was a former employee of the workshop of Cavaillé-Coll, who started his own firm in 1936 with other former employees of the Cavaillé-Coll firm, which closed at the end of the fifties of the XXth century. He worked, togehter with another former employee of the Cavaillé-Coll firm (Jean Perroux), on the organ of St. Dominique .

Claude Jaccard

Claude Jaccard (born in 1956) completed his apprenticeship from 1973 to 1976 at Hartmann and Deloye (Jura), then worked from 1977 to 1983 in France (Muno), Italy (Formentelli) and Germany (Mönch & Prachtel). He created his own company in 1984 and ensures with his team the construction, restoration and maintenance of pipe organs, as well as the production and marketing of study organs, and the restoration of historical models of harmoniums. He worked at the Lutheran Church of Saint-Pierre de la Villette.

Detlef Kleuker

Detlef Kleuker ( 1822-1988) was a German organ builder. His style was loosely based on the North-German baroque style. The buffets were rather modern and sharp, while the stop lists were pretty traditional. In 1986, Siegfried Bäune took over management of the firm, which was closed in 1992. Dominique Lalmand

Dominique Lalmand (*1954) worked at Hartmann, Jaccard and Quoirin and started his own firm in 1986. His activities comprise the restoration and construction of organs. He worked on the organ of St. Séverin .

Laval-Thivolle

The Laval-Thivolle workshop came from the collaboration between Jean-Louis Laval, an organ builder trained at Athanase Dunand, and the Thivolle brothers, who were trained as cabinetmakers. Based in the Drôme region, at La-Motte-de-Galaure, it later took the name "Laval-Lemercier" and then "SARL Lemercier" when Thierry Lemercier took over the company when Jean-Louis Laval retired. The company is now located in the Sarthe region, at Téloché. Notre-Dame de Nazareth

Charles Meslé

Charles Meslé (1914-2011), uncle of the organbuilder Jean-Marc Cicchero , was then the harmonizer of this company and it was he who took over the firm after Edouard's death in 1952. The firm closed in 1979. He built the organ of Chapelle des Franciscaines réparatrices de Jésus Hostie (1973).

Dominique Oberthur

Dominique Oberthur a appris son métier chez Yves Severe (mécanique), Bouladoux (tuyauterie) et Daniellot (harmonie). Il a fondé en 1971 sa propre entreprise Oberthur Manufacture de Grandes Orgues à Saintes. En 2013, il est parti à la retraite et a transmis ses instruments à Bernard Hurvy. Saint-Joseph Artisan

Pels-Dhondt

Pels-Dhondt (Herselt, Belgium). Jean-Baptiste D’Hondt founded a small organ building firm in 1892 near Brussels. In the middle of the XXth century, his firm merged with the firm of Bernard Pels, a descendant of a dynasty of organ builders (founded by Bernard Pels I in 1870), located at Alkmaar, Netherlands. Since 1987, the firm is led by Gerard Pels. He is the fourth generation of both families. After the construction of a number of new organs, the firm specialized itself towards restoration of organs from the XVIth to XXth century. He worked on the organs of Eglise du coeur eucharistique de Jésus (1947) and rebuilded the organ of Saint-Joseph-des-épinettes (2014)

Fernand Prince

Jean Ruche

Jean Ruche (1870-1940) and his son Edouard (1902-1952) from Lyon established themselves as organ builders in Lyon in 1920. In 1932, the late brothers created a cooperative with the organbuilders A. Dunand, Durand, Guironnet which led to the creation of a SARL Ruche in 1932.
