Saint-Philippe-du-Roule (2021) Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Belleville (2024) Saint-Merry, choir organ (2025)
Born in 1970, Jean-Baptiste Gaupillat entered the Troyes conservatory in 1985, where he studied for five years until obtaining his diploma. His passion for pipe organ building continuing to grow, he left his secondary studies to start an apprenticeship at Laurent Plet in 1987. After obtaining his CAP in 1990, he stayed in the same company until 2000. In 1999, he founded his own artisanal pipe organ building company in Noviant-aux-Prés (54). He remains very close to Laurent Plet's workshop, with which he regularly collaborates. His beginnings were helped by the cessation of activity of the Dalstein-Haerpfer company, from which he took over part of the equipment and clientele. His workshop specializes in building organs with mechanical transmission, restoring old organs (all types), as well as lifting and maintenance.
